Michael Bay Presents

Thank you, Roger, for bringing this clip to my attention. As I'm mounting a review of The Rock (proof that Michael Bay can be talented when he wants to), it's a much-needed bit of hilarity in the wake of Transformers 2.

Labels: , ,

The only good thing about "The Rock" was Connery. Everything else was either boring or annoying.

Also, Nicholas Cage gave his most obnoxious performance since "Wild at Heart". Please make note of that in your review.

That clip pretty much sums up what I've learnt from experiencing Bay's films -- I watched "Armageddon" yesterday and it was so incredibly atrocious I found myself dumbstruck.

Incidentally, I think that post's one of the finest Ebert's written in a while. (With yours and Ryan Kelly's recent RT-related posts it pretty much completes a one-two-three defense of individual opinion.) I like to read that kind of thing, especially after my declaration of "suffering" through "Armageddon" was met with being told that I wasn't forced to watch it.
